Things Canadians Say (NSFW sorta)

I just have to say it has been -20 C (-4 F) with the windchill for most of the week, sometimes colder, which means no outdoor recess, driving kids to school. All that fun junk.

And also we got 10 cm over night on Wednesday. We have had snow since October 24, the lack of sun is starting to turning me into a crazy person. Even my 2 year old is saying “mommy is grumpy”.

Okay enough ranting, here’s the video.

  1. LOL Asrai! I don’t know how you Canadians do it. Sounds like you live on the eastern part of the country. And I’ve heard that it’s been like the Artic circle there with wind chills in the -20s. Burrrr, that’s freezing! No wonder you and the kids are going crazy, eh? Keep bundled up and I hope you thaw out soon. 🙂

    • -20 is balmy. We had -40 with the windchill last weekend (which is the same in Fahrenheit and Celsius). I’m on the prairies, almost all the way to the West Coast.
Thanks for the warm thoughts Karen.

  2. I feel much better. You just reminded me of why I transplanted to Southern California in my teens. I’m complaining when the low for the day gets down to freezing! :>( Actually, I have a physical allergy to the cold. When I go outside in temperatures below about 50 for more than half an hour, my nose starts to drip like a loose steam-fitting. It won’t stop until I get inside, and get warmed up again. Climate change seems like it would help you guys have warmer winters :>).

    • I don’t know if I could live where there is no snow. I don’t like extreme cold, but I do prefer being chilly to being too hot.
