Can Gabe convince Shanna that she is meant to stay with him and run her father’s company? Or will the lure of the big city and her boyfriend’s name keep her away?
Love in the Wild, my soon to be released book, is set in Nordegg, Alberta.
All that’s there is a hotel and gas station (picture from flickr in the link of the gas station). We used to stop for gas there on our way from Red Deer to British Columbia. We’ve never gone on a historical tour.
I took a bit of liberty with the town. It seems bigger in the book than it is in reality.
It is every bit as beautiful as it is in the book. We ended up there one Saturday or Sunday, dragged by my mother and step-dad. I recall this trip well, because I was pregnant with our son, but it was too soon to test to know for sure, so we hadn’t told anyone. First we went to Rocky Mountain House, which was the furthest my husband and I wanted to go. But we ended up going nearly an hour past Nordegg to Crescent Falls.
I love driving through the mountains. I grew up in the prairies and the change in landscape is wonderful.
So that’s the setting of Love in the Wild. Unfortunately, I don’t have any pictures of the direct area. But I found links with some great pictures.

The book will be free to all my newsletter subscribers.
The freeness will come as a coupon for Smashwords. Smashwords carries a format that will work for everyone, including Kindle. I can give you information on how to put a Smashwords book on your Kindle if you need it.
Bree needs space from her hectic life as a pop star. Being stranded in the Canadian wilderness is a little more space than necessary. Lucky for her she finds a quaint B&B to relax at. She is astonished when she makes a connection with the young son of her temporary accommodations. She’s even more stunned when she makes a connection with his single dad. She’s only been there two days! She can’t turn her world upside down for a man and his son she’s known for two days. Can she?
