Spam is fun

I saved some of my more amusing blog comments to share. Unfortunately, I accidentally deleted the one that gave  me the most glee.

The next time I learn a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as a lot as this one. I mean, I do know it was my choice to read, however I truly thought youd have something attention-grabbing to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you might fix should you werent too busy in search of attention.

I tell you I’ve been told. Sort of. When I first read it I wondered if I had been whining (it’s something I’ve been trying to stop doing or at least slow down).  But the comment was on a post about me doing crazy things, like ripping novels apart for crafting.

Your special dedication to passing the message around had been surprisingly informative and has continually helped ladies much like me to arrive at their endeavors

I snorted when I read this. Arrive at their endeavours? Sounds like a euphemism. For sex or at least having an orgasm. Glad my About page was so interesting.

This web site is mostly a walk-by for all of the information you wished about this and didn?t know who to ask. Glimpse here, and also you?ll undoubtedly discover it.

Everything you wanted to know about Halloween costumes but were too lazy to blog about? My characters often glimpse  at each other, much like teenagers who don’t want their crush to know they are looking.
Receiving pregnant may perhaps not be as easy as it seems. You will discover some who do get pregnant the first time they have sex, but that isn’t as common as some think. In general, a healthy couple really only has about a 20 to 25% chance of conceiving every single month.
Receiving pregnant? For people trying the chances are 25%, why does it sometimes seem higher for people who aren’t trying?
My newest piece of spam was just a link for pornbeer.com. I don’t want to send any traffic their way, nor have I clicked on the link, so if you go there it’s not on me. It does sound like the perfect website for single males on a lonely night. Who doesn’t love porn and beer?
Do you have any memorable spam?

  1. Lol! Unlike you, Asri, spam drives me nuts. I’ve installed Askismet (I think that’s how it’s spelled) so I don’t have to look at it. So far, I haven’t had any slip by to annoy me. Interesting, though, my spam was different than yours. I wonder who those spambots are and why they think it’s so entertaining to spam-a-lot. Do they make money at it?

    • There must be unsuspecting people (oh, yes I was so there once with spam comments that seemed legit) that click on their links and possibly even buy something.

  2. I’m totally like you, I love to read the wild spam comments. Also like you, I continually wonder what they really meant. Like, should I respond? I know, I know, don’t reply, it’s a spambot, but then I feel like the lonely little bot is all sad because I haven’t replied to him. It’s a silly game I play with my spambots.

Thanks for the fun post, Asrai! You so deserved a vacation nice this time so maybe don’t ask too many questions for future? (that was an actual comment I had a few weeks ago). ; )

    • LMAO Tami. Poor sad spambot. Reminds me of the good old IRC days when we had nice programmed bots to respond to certain keywords.

I guess if you wish to continue vacationing you need to ask less questions? Or more?

  3. Wow, I think we have some of the same followers! What a great idea to post about it. I just grumble and click the Spam button to make them go away. It is so funny how you put them together. A fun read on a Friday!

  4. Those are fabulous, Asrai. I get a real kick out of how these spam comments try so hard to sound authentic and well thought out. Beats the old days of “best hair prodcut is good yes” with an address slapped in the comment box.

I haven’t gotten Spam comments coming into my notification since I turned on Akismet. You reminded me to go check out my spam comments folder. Here’s my favourite that I found:

“With havin so much written content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright infringement? My blog has a lot of exclusive content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my authorization. Do you know any methods to help reduce content from being stolen? I’d genuinely appreciate it.”

It almost would have made me pause, if the commenter link hadn’t been for acne treatments!

  5. That was funny! I have to admit I’ve had some spam comments that have made me laugh, a few I found offensive, but most just leave me scratching my head saying, “HUH?!” 🙂
