#Row80 February 1 Checkin

Writing goals: Sent my book off to my betas and haven’t heard back. Which is fine, because I haven’t finished reading my one partner’s either. It’s too freaking hot, I keep having to stop and take a cold shower.

So I’ve been plotting my next book. I have the first few scenes plotted out. I have a general overview in my head, I just don’t know the specifics, so I’m letting it come as I write.Starting tonight I will be tracking word count.

Blogging goals: I read a really good post about pacing yourself and setting a blogging schedule. And then I didn’t bookmark it. I copied what I wanted, as soon as I find the link I’ll update this.

Personal goals: I have not been exercising because I was busy trying to cough up my lungs. That has almost passed, so hopefully it will be back to normal. Flylady has been going well. I decluttered Zone 5 and am working on Zone 1 now.

  1. Have you tried the WordPress Editorial Calendar plugin? It really helps me keep on schedule with my blog posts. I love that it is drag and drop so I can rearrange posts on a whim.

Anyway, I’m a #row80 newbie, and am loving all the support I’ve found here.

    Nice to meet you!

  2. Good job, Asrai! And good that you didn’t exercise if you had what I did for a couple of weeks in January. That coughing was brutal! Take some time to get over it…but good job, too, on the decluttering. Remember if you’re going to get rid of anything, check to see if there’s a Hospice store in your area. They don’t charge patients or their families and I encourage anyone who will to help support their efforts. 🙂

    • The hospice store sounds cool. The second hand store here benefits the women’s shelter. I also do a lot of Freecycle stuff. Thanks for the thumbs up. This was also a reminder I’m not commenting on other’s blogs enough.

      • We used to have a resale shop that helped a women’s shelter…but it was torn down to make room for a party store (like we needed ANOTHER one of those…small town and we have EIGHT). And you’re welcome…I love your blog. But I, too, have been terrible about it the past couple of months. First it was computer viruses in December…then a rotten cold (or something) for me in January. Trying to get back into the swing of things now. 🙂

  3. Asrai, I just want to open with I love your name. It is beautiful… and there is a high likelihood of me stealing it to use in my stories one day. 😀 Sounds like you are making great progress on your goals and I hope to continue checking in to see how you are doing. Keep up the marvelous work!

  4. Good week! I’ve been dealing with sickness too. Frustrating, right? Best wishes for wonderful progress this weekend. Go ROW80!

    • Thanks Julie. I think we all need a good dose of vitamin C (despite what the experts say about it not doing a darn thing) and some love for all.
