Romancing the Mundane

I have long been interested in romance. I can even remember the names of the boys from elementary school who I dreamt of rescuing me from the bullies. JT, TB, TO, CM. NKOTB (okay well just Jordan Knight, but in my G-rated fantasies, all my friends were married to the other band members).

Lately, I’ve been feeling BLAH! A combination of winter blues and being a SAHM for five years. I’m ready for a change and a challenge. And adult interaction.

Every year I have been reading and doing the exercises in Desire Map. Desire Map is a goal setting program laid out by the incomparable Danielle LaPorte. By every year, I mean this is my second year doing so. Instead of setting goals, you decide on the way you’d like to feel for the rest of the year. Core Desired Feelings. Then you make decisions and take action to bring those feelings into your life. Like if you are seeing inner peace, you start saying ‘no’ to tasks that bring extra stress.

My top CDF this year is *~*Magic *~*

As I said I’ve been feeling BLAH, like I’m in a rut. I’m not fun. I don’t feel light. I bored. I waste a lot of time doing nothing.

I started a list of topics that can use a dose of magic and romance into them. There is a lot I can do to make my life more romantic. I have started some Pinterest boards for making your house more romantic, romantic quotes.

2015: The year of Romance and Magic.

That is romancing the mundane.
